My little cousin was at Stevie B's the other night and was playing the video arcade games (which he had never been particularly good at). At the same time an older man was playing games with who I assumed to be his son. They must have won the jackpot in every machine there but decided to give my cousin over 500 of their tickets...it made his week because he got to get prizes for the whole family. Thank you stranger.

We had a Halloween nite at work with a bunch of tables set up so that the kids could walk around and quickly get a great deal of candy. There were several hundred people who showed --- great fun. One of my work friends brought her 2 little boys. Afterwards her family went to eat at a local pizza place. While inside, someone stole their treat bags from their vehicle. Too sad--something has to be wrong with someone to steal a little kid's candy, I think. So I went and bought candy and treats and made up 2 halloween bags. I put them by her door at work the next day---she still doesn't know who did it!! But the people who were there when she found them said she was so happy (made me happy too!)

I went and bought 8 packs of chocolate, over 50 bars, and gave them out to random strangers at my local mall to brighten their day.

When I go to the store or mall, I find any extra quarters I have and leave them in gumball machines for kids to find. I love the thought of how much it must excite them.

I was getting on a tram one day when an old man behind me fell over, cutting his nose open and damaging his glasses. Without a second thought I got off the tram and helped him up, made sure he was alright, fixed his glasses using a repair kit I carry in case mine break. I missed my tram in the end-but the 10 minutes I spent talking to him after was worth it. Apparently his wife had died 2 weeks before and I was the first stranger to bother about him. I'm 17 and hoping to break the stereotype of kids my own age.

After a friend's son was diagnosed with leukemia over two years ago, I signed up with the National Marrow Donor Program to see if I was a match. I was not for this little boy, but in May I became a match for a girl with ALL. I donated 41 million stem cells for a girl I may never meet in July, and she engrafted in a little over 2 weeks and has been discharged. If I never do anything else in my life, I made a difference for her and her family.

Today I saw an elderly woman crossing the street. She looked like she was having trouble walking, and she ended up dropping her purse. I walked over to her and picked it up for her, then helped her cross the street.
