I decided to commit "beauty terrorism" around my town, starting with the local laundromat. I posted little inspirational notes on all the washing machine control panels. They remain hidden until someone closes the lid on the machine to do their laundry. I really hope it makes someone smile.

Tonight I suffered some of the last emotional and physical abuse from my exboyfriend. He had burnt my baby pictures, broken albums my deceased father had given me, tossed my purse on top of the two story building next door, and threw me down a set of stairs. A tired looking construction worker driving in his truck saw me running outside in distress, gave me a ladder to get my things and stood by my side until I was safe and ready to leave. He looked exhausted from a long day, but he took the time to help me out, and I am very grateful. Two others had passed, and my friends had been down the street and heard me scream. Thank you, old man, wherever you are.

I started an organization to benefit the families of active duty soldiers. Today, we made our first donation in front of the whole school. Getting to see the look on my best friend's face when I presented her with gift cards, meals, and a onesie with our logo totally made my day. Getting to inspire the school made it even better.

I've always been a bit on the heavier side, and I always thought it was because of my weight that no guy had ever shown any interest in me. I met my current (and first) boyfriend a little over a year ago, and we started dating shortly after we met. He started writing me notes almost immediately, and he always signed them, "Stay beautiful, Beautiful." I carried them with me wherever I went for weeks, and I now have them safely stored in my jewelry box because it still makes me smile every time I read one of them.

Lately I have been making nice notes for my older sisters and putting them in their lunchbox. My sisters, whom I rarely get along with, told me they loved them. I will make them everyday for the rest of the school year. I'm glad I can do this for them.

My friend has always been picked on by her high school peers because she always hangs out with the guys and is always mistaken for one. She's like this because her mom left the family and was raised by her dad. We all got together and took her out to do girly things. We took her to the spa (only some were brave enough to join) and out shopping before watching chick flicks. We're seventeen year old boys, and she never looked prettier and happier.

My best friend's mom just had an baby. I stayed after school the day of the birth to get a card signed and stuff her locker with a rattle, bib, blanet, pacifiers, and socks. The look on her face the next morning was great. Even better- she told me the next day that the hospital had needed socks for the baby.

When I was younger, I was out biking with my sister and mom. When we got back to the car, we were loading the bikes up when I noticed the car parked next to us had a license plate marked with a Vietnam War sign. My mom left a note on the windshield saying, "Thanks for serving our country". I thought it was pointless cause I thought he'd volunteered. It wasn't until later that I realized that people were drafted back in the Vietnam War. I wish I could have thanked him more than that.

Three days before Christmas a good friend had health insurance cut off of her children. One has to have one to function on a daily basis. She said it was medicine or Christmas. I went next door to the pharmacy and paid for the medicine.

This little kid was in the grocery store ahead of me purchasing a half gallon of ice cream, but he didn't have enough cash. He looked flumoxed as of what to do, and the cashier took the ice cream back and voided the sale. I asked the kid how much he was short. . .8 cents! I gave it to him.
