My fiance and I were in a motorcycle accident this summer. Passersby took care of me until the ambulance arrived. It was blazing hot and a couple of people stood over me so I had shade. Another person sat at my head and kept talking calmly to me. The ambulance crew was great, the tow company drove my partner to the hospital, the hospital staff were wonderful. Made a potentially horrible situation manageable.

A few years ago, I was on a field trip to New York, and I felt simply awful seeing homeless people. One in particular looked very depressed and I bought him a large pizza with breadsticks and a two liter bottle of soda. He called me an angel.

Tonight I was leaving Wal-Mart with my mom and we saw a man trying to push two carts. My mom offered for me to take his other cart for him. I was glad for the reminder to help someone out. Then in the car on the way home she said we'd started a chain and that man would go do something for someone else. I hope so.

Instead of exchanging gifts with each other, each year at Christmas my cheerleading squad chooses a family in need to adopt. We bring every member of the family gifts of pleasure and the essentials such as soap, shampoo, laundry detergent, etc. One of my male cheer coaches will dress up as Santa and the other coaches dress up as elves and deliver the gifts! The smile of the people we help gives us the most wonderful feeling in the world!

I was at school today and the teacher said that the Breast Cancer walkers were going to be walking past the playground. All the school ran to the fence and started screaming things such as "Good Job!" "Keep Going!". It made me feel great that I was apart of it.

I was sitting on the bus one day when an elderly couple came aboard. I rose to give them space so that they could both sit down. Just as the wife had sat down though the bus started to pull away and the husband, who walked with a cane, started to lose balance and fall. I grabbed his hand, whilst bracing my other hand on a pole and made sure he descended slowly. Within an instant of him touching the floor, everyone in the chairs nearby acted to tell the driver to stop and help the elderly gentleman up. As soon as he was up and comfortably in his seat, I picked up his cane and returned it to him as my stop came up and I departed.

As I was on my way home from work, I saw a boy about 12 walking home from school. It was raining, he didn't have an umbrella and he was holding his backpack over his head. I pulled over and held my umbrella through the window to him. He took it, opened it and told me if I would give him my address, he'd bring it back the next day. I told him to just keep it in his backpack because I have several more. He had the cutest grin on his face as he thanked me!
