When I was younger, I was out biking with my sister and mom. When we got back to the car, we were loading the bikes up when I noticed the car parked next to us had a license plate marked with a Vietnam War sign. My mom left a note on the windshield saying, "Thanks for serving our country". I thought it was pointless cause I thought he'd volunteered. It wasn't until later that I realized that people were drafted back in the Vietnam War. I wish I could have thanked him more than that.

I think that's an awesome idea! I try to thank soldiers when I see them in person. Now I'll stick a few notes in my wallet so I can thank them even if I don't see them face to face. Thanks for the idea!
